This album features the presence of multifaceted instrumentalist/keyboardist David Harrow. I must confess that I’ve listened Barb and Feather with great interest as it pushed me out of a certain comfort-zone in terms of musical experience. A meticulously crafted yet brilliantly complex album that blends the timeless allure of glam rock fantasies—think Roxy Music and The Psychedelic Furs—with dubstep-infused electronic grooves and soulful, playful improvisations, all delivered with flawless execution. This album is an instantaneously captivating and a refreshing mind trip that leads the listener in a compositive, dynamic, propulsive, and luminous dancing psychedelic voyage. It successes to deliver a hybrid of styles between Autechre, Stereolab, everything connected to high-quality IDM but also breathtaking soul jazz and acid jazz (Ballistic Brothers, Sofa Surfers) and funky rhythms.

An original, multi-textured, and richly layered electronic album that deserves far wider recognition. Showcasing top-tier electronic craftsmanship, it’s intensely stylish, vividly imaginative, and brilliantly creative—true to the fertile and uncompromising spirit of Lo Recordings A musically advanced trip that will appeal to avid fans of trip-hop, electronic jazz, and retro-minimal pop.
