Ethereal and otherworldly, Whispered Hymns‘ meditative qualities dabble with the psyche on tracks like “Discoloured Rainbows” and “Deep Crystal Lake,” lulling us into the mystic lights of time as they flow through an endless auditory universe.

The aptly titled Whispered Hymns features delicately woven soundscapes by Lorenzo Bracaloni (aka Fallen)—nine tracks that gradually fall into place, beginning with the subdued blips and tones of “Unusual Springtime.” Warmth permeates the air when the album surges ahead with shoegaze and ambient themes (“Pond Of Blurry Reveries”), while synthesizer threads shimmer and envelops the listener during its quieter passage. Peaks like “My Whispered Hymn” and “Slowly, Quietly” are where Braceloni opens the floodgates. Aerial levels are dotted with subtle digital bits, while synth drones cascade in the distance, seemingly to reassure us that everything will be alright. Ethereal and otherworldly, Whispered Hymns‘ meditative qualities dabble with the psyche on tracks like “Discoloured Rainbows” and “Deep Crystal Lake,” lulling us into the mystic lights of time as they flow through an endless auditory universe.
