Intoxicatingly surreal darkened structures to push us forward.
Eerie soundscapes build upon themselves
A Voicenote To The Hierophant is a three-track assemblage that Jettenbach describes as a love letter to a nonexistent person and is intricately interwoven. “The Moment You Realised I Was Tainted,” a strain of extended, eerie soundscapes that builds upon itself, kicks off this collection of dark ambient drones and spacious noises. Midway through, drums and guitars collide, and a shoegaze, Bitcrush-like mood floods the senses. The song “All That Might Have Been and a Hope That in Time May Yet Still Come to Pass,” on the other hand, has a slightly more subdued aesthetic. Despite the occasional glitch, the soothing post-rock vibe keeps us enthralled the entire time. “Wait for me (But not by Standing Still),” a composition that closes with time-stretched drone-scapes, is a combination of post-industrial and ambient components blending together to create a fully realized emotional impact that gradually fades away. Intoxicatingly surreal darkened structures to push us forward.
