MÖRK—which means darkness in Swedish—is a vertiginous and spiritually enthralling dive in deep bass cello tones, minimally improvised guitar sequences, long sweeping electronic sounds, and hypnotic loops.
These expertly detailed sonic Polaroids encapsulate the spirit of time, past and present, as though to ease the listener into a thick fog with tranquil audio-visual textures, tones, and drones.
We need musicians like Suseti and Henrik Meierkord who take making slow introspective music designed for contemplation an art form, and not just something that can be replicated with a few music apps and some help from soulless AI.
