Experimental Electronic Music
Can you create your own Zen on an eleven-hour flight from Berlin to Miami? I gave it a try with the February 2025 album Card Catalogue, by Neuro… No Neuro. Flights are a world of fleeting moments and constant interruptions. This album invites you to pause, sift through your mental archives, and find solace in the texture of memory.
The eponymous Sciuridae release for Woodland Creatures is dotted with crunchy blips and a sparse techno theme that breaks apart into delectable atmospheric chapters.
Rontronik’s taste for noisy textures and atmospheric shines on Zero Nine. Although in terms of composition, the album runs smoothly, its production is solid enough to demonstrate a good sense of timbre, and the sound palette he chooses to highlight is astounding.

Listening to Ghostwoods’ Neon Remixed, out on 4000 Records, is a sweet diversion. Each remix is unique to the others, and each is thoughtfully assembled.
Gentle layers of just a few ingredients are added to other related elements, augmenting each other to showcase a natural magic. These are dreamscapes for rest and recuperation, and I don’t see any error or wrongdoing in them at all.
Factory Label Shipping Express is an album released at the end of 2024 by Sun Yizhou and Liam Kramer-White. Sun Yizhou is a Beijing-based experimental musician who also runs the Aloe label. Liam Kramer-White (Beige, LMFAO, Winter’s Treasures, B33N) currently lives in Philadelphia and runs the Phons label. Factory Label Shipping Express is the first album they made together, via an exchange of emails and sound files, based on phone recordings.
With its emphasis on subtle variation and harmonic innovation, Loop 7 is a compelling listen for fans of experimental music and microtonal compositions, inviting deeper engagement with every spin. This is a standout release for both Golub and Greyfade.
