The ingenuity of Bakis Sirros pervades this album in its entirety—a dark ambient masterpiece that unfolds with continuous soundscapes, allowing for a sublime listening experience.
Aphex Twin :: Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760 EP (Warp)
Overall impression: I really enjoy these tunes, but it’s clear that whatever rabbit holes Aphex Twin has been down in the last 30 years, he’s still fixated on the sounds and vibes he constructed in the early 90s.
C_C :: Voltiges (In Paradisum)
Where noisier sound effects continuously loop and eventually unfold, C_C finds just a little more fuel to add to these (already) densely layered tracks impacted by a myriad of abstract electronics.
