Suspended somewhere between memory and imagination

A hauntological layer drifts through both DFTSKZ-V333 and The Dexadream, as elongated, slowly evolving loops—dark, buried, and scorched with abstraction—sees longtime fuzzy electronic sonic sculptor Will Brazier-Smith (aka Xurba) continuing to push ambient time capsules into unfamiliar territory. Where DFTSKZ-V333 settles into darker ambient motifs punctuated by subtle percussive bleeps,

The Dexadream lifts that same hazy sensibility into a more expansive space, with atmosphere and downtempo noise conjuring a sense of nostalgic bewilderment. Much like the peculiar, roughened soundtracks of Pentagrams Of Discordia, Xurba blends, refines, and accents fragments into dreamlike ambient worlds that feel suspended somewhere between memory and imagination.
