Tineidae :: Mothership (Cryo Chamber)

The spaced-out crystalline sequences, aerial swirling sounds and imaginative body of lysergic effects guarantee an immersive but also a continuously accessible and enjoyable experience.

Textured industrial influx

Tineidae is a hybrid electronic tinged project hailing from Poland; mastermind Pavlo Storonsky is originated from Ukraine and continues to enlighten the field of IDM/kinetic-chilled out and spacious ambient music. After a promising start with his multifaceted and dynamic release Lights (Tympanik Audio, 2012) and his second effort Shadows (Tympanik Audio, 2014) he moved to the indie dark ambient label Cryo Chamber for two meaningful and expressive cinematic releases.

The musical signature is characterized by a retro-nostalgic fancy for 80s sci-fi synthesized ambiences, gently washing uncanny atmospheres built around massive keys. In this new album the accompanying background elements and precise arrangements add a sonic impact to the whole sound tapestry, sometimes admitting textured industrial influx. The synth waves move elegantly and gracefully, longing and shedding melancholic notes inside sentient meditative downtempo excursions. The more pulsating and hypnotic driven vibes of the previous albums are not abandoned and are also well crafted in those new materials. The spaced-out crystalline sequences, aerial swirling sounds and imaginative body of lysergic effects guarantee an immersive but also a continuously accessible and enjoyable experience.

A highly recommended post-apocalyptic, dystopian and thrilling soundtrack which follows its course in a dissolving black sky. Fans of Neuronium, Baffo Banfi, Tim Blake, Klaus Schulze’s innovative communication catalog but also Robert Rich, Sabled Sun and Shrine will find a clear interest here.
