Tangent :: Collapsing Horizons (n5MD)

Crumpled ambient versus mechanized glitch surrounded by cosmic low-end from The Netherlands’ Tangent is about to be revealed via Collapsing Horizons—their debut for Oakland’s n5MD. Minuscule bleeps and textured drones simmer and shift from one phase to the other, as if alien civilizations clearly embarked on a joint effort to communicate with (us) earthlings on this pale blue dot. Tangent consistently collapses horizons—causing delicate chaos to unfold. Shadows lurk in the mist, curious melodic strains push and pull as a gravitational arch made from synaptic beats pummel through. Featured from front to back are precision, hardened sound-structures and distorted fractals that echo and fade. Revolving emotive sonic fissures, dense buzzing noise-fields and organized voltaic eruptions, Tangent’s latest opus continues to be eerily engaging. Dissolving (similar) microscopic layers tucked within a blur of solar flares, one can easily loose themselves in these creative optical emissions.

Collapsing Horizons is available on n5MD.
