Stitxhes :: Lost In Translation EP (Detroit Underground)

Just as quickly as we’re able to visualize Stitxhes’ brooding panoramas, they vanish into thin air with only a few aftershocks to be felt afterwards. Powerful and engaged.

Viscous audio structures

Within three tracks and twenty-one minutes, Stitxhes’ Lost In Translation delivers quite an impactful punch. Dark minimal techno-slivers and eroded electronics mixed with found sounds and rhythmic fury sees the artist manifest viscous audio structures starting with the sputtering beauty of “Sputnik.” Vast echoes and industrial mechanics invade “The Torches” with its hypnotic groove and heavy thudding flow. As the EP traverses otherworldly Terra Ferma, “Underwater Tunnels” closes with blistering technoid fissures and eerily confounding soundscapes. And just as quickly as we’re able to visualize Stitxhes’ brooding panoramas, they vanish into thin air with only a few aftershocks to be felt afterwards. Powerful and engaged.
