Overlap is the product of a collaboration between two young sound artists and electronic music designers coming from Kansas: Scattered Lodges (aka Andrew Stephens) and The Coma Calling (aka Kyle Cramb). Both sound producers already published a vast collection of digital releases available on their respective Bandcamp e-store. Each contribution catches the attention, reveals a corpus of engaging compositional ingredients and reflective moments that will easily convince avid listeners of modern days crafted based ambient music. Overlap is essentially a series of short-form ambient sketches where processed field recordings subtly interact with flexible tones, sparse, erratic melancholic lines and droning sequences.
