Diving head first into more rigorous electronics, the Room Of Wires duo continue to emit fractured industrial-IDM as is the case on opener “Used.” Second cut “Scarce” is sparse and sporadic, its echoes and crashing glitch landscapes hark back to the earlier days of Access To Arasaka and Flint Glass displaying their dark(er) electronic prowess. Taking a step into scorched ambient debris, “Snowbound” displays a cacophonous hiss and brooding noise-chamber rolled into itself. Corroded data bursts and disjointed vocal bits ravage “Input7,” a mechanized industrial onslaught for late night warehouse experiments. Closing with “Back Compression,” Autechrean soil is rummaged through, broken beats are tossed apart as DSP-driven layers flicker and frolic.
