Moss Covered Technology :: Slow Walking (Polar Seas)

Moving textures, radiant solitary drones meet dense harmonic layers to create a vast, subtle and icy forest of peaceful emotive sounds, shrouded in a profoundly serene and inner quietness.

Moss Covered technology is a UK-based sound art project created by the electronic producer Greig Baird. Mostly known for his collaboration and signature on key indie / DIY labels in the field of craft based ambient, post-minimalism, modern-classical music (eilean Rec, Hibernate, Fluid Audio et al). His new effort is welcomed and distributed by Polar Seas (among leading actors and purveyors of fine modern days electronic soundscapes). Loyal to his musical path Greig Baird delivers a cosy, enveloping, and beautifully expressive drone ambient release. The pieces have a retro-ish synthedelic feeling from the 70s / 80s and the analog era of space music but is is also deeply rooted in environmental-blissful sensient soundscapes of our time. Moving textures, radiant solitary drones meet dense harmonic layers to create a vast, subtle and icy forest of peaceful emotive sounds, shrouded in a profoundly serene and inner quietness. Somewhere at a cross between early Edgar Froese, Ashra, Harold Budd, Bass Communion, and Machinefabriek.

Slow Walking is available on Polar Seas.
