Monoiz :: Percussion Proximity (Detroit Underground)

Percussion Proximity is a fluid listening experience with uniquely static-infested substructures with clinical precision.

Randomized beats galore

Randomized beats galore, Monoiz sets the stage for sputtering electronic noises that find a life of their own. Just have a listen to the opener “ParallelAutom” and its cyclically humming beauty. Elsewhere you’ll find the tiniest glitch particles settling in to a warm thudding bass line—reference “Generator.” Monoiz finds comfort in the most abstract of shapes where fuzzy sounds loosen up and cast their own shadows (“Dramk” and “Invert5”). The industrial and modular/mechanical fragments seem to coalesce when tracks like “Nknas” and “Paranaal” unfold, yet the closing “Reflexes” buzzes across the spectrum with sharper blips and bleeps that echo from miles away. Percussion Proximity is a fluid listening experience featuring unique static-infested substructures driven by clinical precision.
