POLΛR is a seamless, multicolored sequence of vaporous sound-sculpted shapes where abstract design meets mechanical intent, inviting listeners to sink in and slowly absorb deeper resonance.

Seeing two IDM devotees at full stride never loses its charge. Tam Ferrans (Mitoma) and Paul Daniels (Dissolved) exchange electronic signals across continents—Mitoma working from Scotland, Daniels, also Scottish by origin, now in British Columbia. Distance fades as both channel hours into a unified presence, shaping cascading ambient horizons that wrap around industrial-IDM motion.

Opening ascent “bismuth” glides through calm air, guiding listeners toward sandblasted beat pressure within “tellurium.” Unsteady yet magnetic passages unfold with striking force; pieces such as “orichalcum,” “ytterbium,” and “praseodymium” surge through glitch-laden rhythms, while “cerium,” “xenom,” and closing chapter “europium” spill into emotive sonic plateaus, as though gathered from distant cosmic margins.

Still, the partnership between Ferrans and Daniels—mastered by like-minded Swedish sound sculptor, Tamas Zsiros (Weldroid)—never suggests separation. Fusion of IDM pulse and surreal industrial ambience reveals communication both exact and relentless. The result is a seamless, multicolored sequence of vaporous sound-sculpted shapes where abstract design meets mechanical intent, inviting listeners to sink in and slowly absorb deeper resonance.
