This new effort carries on timbral explorations and sonic soundscapes, this time with a focus on the psych-acoustic impact of bells resonances.
Lingua Lustra is one hyper-productive project curated by Albert Borkent. This sound alchemist and craft-based ambient music producer has just released his new album on Shimmering Moods for an alluring digital/cdr edition available as ultra limited copies. Lingua Lustra starts to make a name in the hidden modern ambient music world thanks to a serie of publications for a myriad of net-labels.
This new effort carries on timbral explorations and sonic soundscapes, this time with a focus on the psych-acoustic impact of bells resonances. The atmosphere is deep, serene, immersive and contemplative. Not far from the work of classical minimalist artist Charlemagne Palestine in Bells Studies but less radical and extreme, much more relaxing and softly moving (especially from “Hymn of the Rose”).
Acoustic elements are mixed with added electronic effects and sinuous analog waves. The whole thing plays with the static of dronescapes and micro-interferences. The album works on an immediate and experimental level but the topic is also focused on transcendental chimes, transporting the listener in a vast spiritual, celestial sounding voyage, in search of the inner unity of life. A curious, droning and trance-like microtonal release—recommended for fans of neo-psychedelic and avant-garde music.
Truth Rings Like A Bell is available on Shimmering Moods.
