Latchwork :: The Heap EP (Schematic)

Brushed sound design structures touch upon layers of light industrial-electro flourishes and robotic soundscapes.

These three tracks by Latchwork are subtle and perplexing, lasting around eight minutes total, but they have enough of an impact to keep us closely tuned in. “Ternary Heap,” a slick piece with a downtempo rhythmic beat, is anchored by brittle electro extracts and abstracts, while “Radix Heap” dives into bass-heavy ambient and glitch deformation. Despite its short duration, this triplet has quite a lot to say. We’re left wanting more after listening to the upbeat “Leftist Heap,” which closes this mini-EP.
