Julien Demoulin is a Belgium-based sound artist that consistently offers soothing ambient miniatures with his release for Aural Canyon. It is not his first release on the Greek indie DIY label Sound In Silence. Always with poignant sensitivity and a relaxing sense of introspection, Demoulin invites us to moments of meditative solace. Consequently, it is with a great attention and pleasure that we let our soul be immersed in his sonic and healing sound tapestries. Connected to our inner self with immediately touching and calm resonances, textured aural atmospherics, and gently washing electronic scintillations, these tracks offer a level of spiritual serenity.

In a time of emotional disorder in our speed-up productive societies and restless habits, this is the music we need to restore our soul and let our daydream moments freely roll. Treated brass acoustic timbres bathed in heavy clouds of reverbs, slowly passing from consonant, to melted vaporous dissonances, enveloping us in large flowing waves but without hurting or disrupting our listening perception. The result evokes al little bit the classy cathedralic-timbral brass drones from Pauline Oliveros and The Deep Listening Band.

In 2011 he formed his own creative musical project titled Day Before Us with an inclination for darkly ritualized gothic atmospheres, sampled droning textures and ethereal poetical escapism sometimes augmented by vocal lines. The project is officially signed on various indie labels and occasionally provides sound installations in a multiplicity of contexts.
