Diaphanous invites the listener to immerse in quiet, oceanic, delicate, and infinitely lush textures based on beautiful tone colors, velvet-like tranquil atmospheres with occasional glimpses of sorrowing melodies.

Innesti is a droning cinematic-tinged electronic project from the US with a strongly-rooted interest in deep sonic environments and atmospheric sound design. I discovered the music of this project back in 2021 with the quite recommended album Filament and Place published by Dronarvim. Printed and distributed by the quite superb Past Inside the Present indie publisher, Diaphanous brings back to the fore the heritage of ambient music’s golden age with subtly moving and soothing soundscapes in the compositional mood ever traced by artists such as Harold Budd, Brian Eno, Iasos, Richard Lainhart, John Foxx, and producers from the 80’s Cold Blue Music.

Consequently, Diaphanous invites the listener to immerse in quiet, oceanic, delicate, and infinitely lush textures based on beautiful tone colors, velvet-like tranquil atmospheres with occasional glimpses of sorrowing melodies. The scenic and meticulously designed atmospheres vibrate calmly to provide to the listener a feeling of serenity and emotional quietness. Atmospheric, dream-like, and minimal sculpted ambiences of crystalline quality. Easily recommended for fans of pioneering ambient music as well as discreet soundscapes and other synthetic reveries at the age of digital experimentations: Yui Onodera, Hatakeyama, Bvdub, Viul, Anthéne, Celer, Hilyard, and Mind over MIDI.
