HØST unveils The Sacred Grove, their debut 10-track long player, accompanied by broken beats and smudged electronics, for Renraku Global Media, a leading force in “next-generation sound and vision.” Even though not much is known about the UK-based composer, the music speaks for itself with wide-angle soundscapes and burnt bass lines torn apart by blistered vocal cuts. Tracks like “Belong To Lovers” and “Lurkers” startle the senses with rhythmic sonic flows, a blend of rich sound worlds carefully built around fragmented percussion.
