Like a shield of emotive melodic strands gathering before our eyes, Lorenzo Bracaloni’s Fallen project shifts through time and space, blending ethereal voices with instrumental electronica across the long-winded (but apropo) Touched Music title, Stars are Crashing, Home are Burning, Hearts are Changing-Notes from a Distant World/Detuned Lullabies for the Old Planet.
Fifteen slices of life unfold through ambient propulsion, opening with cascading sonic beauty on “Rusted Gardens,” where pitter-patter patterns breathe against a spacious atmosphere, quietly revealing how essential sound can be. Bracaloni’s signature drifts into darker territory with “Violent Winds,” yet remains light and airy, its floating voices drawing us deeper into a mesmerizing current. Downtempo bubbles and understated beatwork provide a gentle respite on “Wide Red Skies.”
