Cercle Futur returns again to split electronic atoms via La Guerre Comme Expérience Intérieure (translated to War as an Inner Experience) on the persistent Roulette Rekordz imprint, seeking to cultivate broken rhythms and electro slivers and recombining into a massive multidirectional audio onslaught.
Following up from Genèse (Roulette Rekordz, 2022), that we described as “traversing a myriad of found sounds and decomposed echoes from IDM’s past,” this album has a more mechanical pulse merging acid layers, glitch-laden electro gears, and industrial funk from the outermost edges. Highlights like “Le Mythe du XXI Siècle,” “Les Larmes de Judas,” “Cantique du Soleil Noir,” and “Le Voyage Fantastique” find crumpled electrical noises, darkened beats, and ethereal voices swaying in the background.
