Andranoda :: Different Waves (Self-Released)

Playing with glitchy ambiences, evaporating soundscapes, kinetic electro moves, Different Waves delivers an intense, imaginative inner musical journey, to be discovered by fans of adventurous explorations in experimental music.

Andranoda is a young project and duet formed by two German sound artists: Ext Sleep (Cologne) and Rustre (Leipzig). Their first EP is offered in digital format and is self-released. I hardly succeeded to find more practical infos about this mysterious musical entity, but I must confess that this album makes a really nice impression. Playing with glitchy ambiences, evaporating soundscapes, kinetic electro moves, Different Waves delivers an intense, imaginative inner musical journey, to be discovered by fans of adventurous explorations in experimental music. A creative, dynamic dialectic is brought to the fore between intuitive-emotive textures with a droning post-rock flavor and more electroacoustic scintillations in a minimalist mode. Every sound-sculpture is meticulously prepared, finely detailed, challenging researches on micro-tonality and flexible timbral sequences. Different Waves is a recommended listening experience, delicately moving, ethereal, reflective sense of romanticism, solitude in beatlesss electronic music. Fans of cinematic and impressionistic ambient releases by Eluvium, Taylor Deupree, James Plotkin, Bill Seaman, Alessandro Cortini, and Celer won’t be disappointed.

Different Waves is available on Bandcamp.
