Alex Jann captures raw machine funk and robotic electro in just four tracks as the title track sets the bar high with six minutes of pure Detroit-infused electro-nics. It maintains a synth-heavy Drexciya shell and delivers it with a Kraftwerk-like groove that we’re compelled to repeatedly rotate. “Collective Paranoia” provides rhythmic edges with a roughened pulse, while “Pass 3” adds an industrial acid-electro flare and shifting shadows to balance it off. With classic breaks and bass, “The Chamber” closes the EP and leaves us craving for more.
