Patricia Wolf’s Hrafnamynd—her second LP for Balmat—melds ambient composition, field recordings, and empathic melody into a haunting, memory-soaked soundtrack whose warm synths, birdsong, and tape-worn textures mirror Edward Pack Davee’s raven-haunted Icelandic imagery and its meditation on collective and personal remembrance.
Cent’anni is the new single by Inude, marking the first chapter of a new cycle: a ballad about time that shatters, suspended between love and destruction.
Elori Saxl’s Drifts And Surfaces opens with a stark electronic pulse, setting the tone for an album that reshapes her experiences on Lake Superior into three distinct, commissioned works. Expansive yet intimate, it explores the lake’s haunting duality and the fluid boundary between individual identity and the artistic communities that carry us.
Werner Herzog’s Fata Morgana is a hallucinatory, Sahara-set “documentary” filmed decades ago, blending long, hypnotic desert shots with music by Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen. In 2007, Mouse on Mars created a live, psychedelic score for the film, merging electronics, guitar, drums, and horns into an experimental soundtrack that ultimately left Herzog unimpressed.
