Another sneaky release that might slip past you at first. On my first listen, I sort of missed the point and thought, “well this sounds like 90s synth soundtracks or disco music.” Yes, yes it does, and that’s sort of the point. As the title implies, the future certainly isn’t what those idealistic producers of the early synth era could ever have predicted, but Automatic Tasty manages to preserve that sense of optimistic futurism across the decades in a very authentic manner, crafting some very catchy songs you may find yourself humming later.
