Drum’n bass elements, flickering shards of atmospheric crunch and a wash of drenched electrical mayhem all seem to collate into one unique sound sculpture. Diasiva’s percussive bludgeoning on “Astroakoustic Three” keeps the pace pretty active from start to end. Duran Duran Duran conducts a more clinical beat-infested rendition and doesn’t let up for several minutes. Christoph de Babalon holds firmly to the original “Astroakoustic Three” and penetrates deep space via gritty and skittering drums. To say that Rory St John is only testing the waters of electrical chaos would be an understatement. Instead, this Berlin-based craftsman reveals a mechanical cacophony of derailed audio shifts that deform via this full-strength extended player.
