The impressive, relatively new label Involve puts out another solid release. A collaboration between Aspen and Jet Jaguar, Patio’s name suits the sound to a “T”. This is the perfect music to listen to on a cool summer day, or a pleasant summer/fall evening. This goes in the player with Air’s premiere symphonies, Hermann & Kleine’s Kickboard girl, and Aspen’s Are You That Retail Snob? to round out my listening on these occasions. If you are a fan of any of the Involve artists thus far, or the aforementioned summery releases, you will not be dissappointed by this. Look for 12 solid, clean, crisp tracks, which do together make a type of story arc. There are several exceptional tracks here, such as “Forget That Lamp, Bring the Sun”, and the lush “Behind Bike Sheds” that should remain glued to your cd player for quite a while.
