Emerging as Barcelona’s counter-proposal to macro-festival culture — which has come to dominate the city (Sónar, Primavera Sound) — MOSTRA stands for zero investors, zero pressure, and 100% curation, community, and independence. The MOSTRA festival presents a lineup that brings together international talent, unique proposals, exclusive live performances, and key figures (full line-up).
In 2026, the festival celebrate its 5th Anniversary with a special edition: France will be our Guest Country. This choice honors the historic influence of French electronic music and strengthens the deep cultural bond between the two countries. The project extends beyond the four-day festival with this special focus extended to all year-round initiatives like ExtraMostra (satellite events), Mostra’m (debates) and Fira (exhibitors’ fair of labels and collectives, where French labels and record shops will have a dedicated spotlight).
From March 12 to 15, 2026, MOSTRA will celebrate its journey with its most ambitious edition yet: over 35 hours of music, a longer festival schedule than in previous years, and an intimate setting hosting a maximum of 1,000 attendees per day. Speaking to MostraTV, local artist and resident ABSIS, who will present the project Atàvic with Estrato Aurora on Friday, March 13, emphasizes the importance of the festival’s format and its values: “I feel that the values MOSTRA embodies—sustainability, support for the local scene, and inclusion – are in crisis today. For me, supporting the local scene is especially important because it guarantees continuity.”
Live performances by Germany’s Substance & Vainqueur alongside Patrick Russell (Sunday), Surgeon with Steve Bicknell (Saturday), and upsammy with Angel Molina (Friday) form a line-up that brings together established figures and emerging local talent, positioning the festival as a space for discovery beyond the commercial festival circuit.
