Industrial sediment spreads across six distinct pieces by Ukrainian composer and sound sculptor (Kateryna) Zavoloka.

Industrial sediment spreads across six distinct pieces by Ukrainian composer and sound sculptor (Kateryna) Zavoloka. Opening with the title track, listeners are drawn through windswept corridors of time—shoegaze-laced moments drift alongside saccharine guitar tones and strands of noise, lifting spirits as “Zoriana” flows into brighter sonic territories. Cinematic rhythms and coarse sonic layers shape these seven minutes into a space both meditative and gently disorienting, a brief escape from traditional rhythms.

As momentum builds, Zavoloka leans into a psychedelic, near-Celtic flair. “Slava” and “Vesnianka” pulse with rhythmic electronica, weaving tradition and modernity into a single, kinetic current. Closing tracks “Naspiv” and “Molytva” arrive like long-awaited resolution—filled with radiant musicality, they channel compositional clarity and hope. Both pieces stand as luminous, uplifting works, designed to keep bodies moving and emotions stirred—as does the whole collection.
