Ital Tek (real name Alan Myson) releases his seventh album, Timeproof, which features ten intense musical chapters and vast fields and soundscapes. Large-scale atmospheric tension is built and evoked by swirling synths. Timeproof simply functions as a gloomy and spacious soundtrack to lost planets thanks to the static fizz-fuzz sounds and bewitching textures that Ital Tek carefully extracts from his machines. Its industrial flares and piercing rhythms are perplexing, transporting us to fantastical and spooky realms.

Timeproof‘s ebb and flow is relentless. It is incredible how many experiments Myson manages to fit into these comparatively little time capsules—ranging from total darkness (“The Mirror” and “Zero Point”) to blinding light (“Heart String”). The listener is transported into airy dreamlike states where sound patterns and cascading spheres bloom (as well as the album’s final title track with its sputtering static beauty). A standard that only few people can reach is set by the fluttering of modular creativity and reflection—a sonic accomplishment that is meant to be swallowed whole.
