Experimental Electronic Music
More techno from Bradley Strider, Death in Vegas, and Ryan James Ford with all three delivering their own expression of the sound with savage results. We have electro with Cultivated Electronics, To Pikap and Shipwrec, and breaks with DjRum and Withhold. Two hours of nonsensical anecdotes and lots of great music.
Adepta Editions have found a kindred spirit in Daniel Pringle. The label’s pursuit of emotive electronics with contortionist rhythms is part of The Jaffa Kid’s DNA. A superb pairing of pieces, two that can ignite the right floor as well as giving the mind space to roam.
As 2026 begins, we return to our now six-year ritual at Igloo—bending time slightly to celebrate the finest albums of the past year, from 2025 standouts on labels like Warp Records and Clone to reissues and timeless cuts by Aphex Twin and The Sabres of Paradise, all fueling our tradition with renewed magic and momentum.
More than a sampler, Pulse State: SAMPLER 1 is a living transmission—an immersive, precision-curated surge of IDM and off-axis electronics where past and future signals collide, experimental sound mutates in real time, and meticulously engineered worlds unfold in motion.
This body of work stands as a singular achievement—uniting fractured percussion, deep low-end gravity, and razor-sharp production. Each piece resonates simultaneously as a cohesive statement and a series of singular visions.
As the Spring draws in, the music keeps flowing here at WE FORFEIT. For this month, we have a label we love. We have Gated Recordings. Founded in 2019 by DJ Node and Jadey Smith, Gated has become an imprint of serious intent in the world of electronic music.
Our celebration, a devil-may-care romp in the aural delights of the machines, opens with some recent beauts from Gated before dipping into acid, breakbeat, electro and techno with records from Amenthia, Betonkust, Gated Recordings, Klasse Wrecks and heaps more.
This compilation is a balance of concepts and styles that showcases bright new talent that pays homage to what came before while producing their own sounds.
Robbie and Chris of WE FORFEIT present their latest mix for Radio Relativa #31 and the struggles with Spain’s postal service.
No fan of Daniel Pringle will be disappointed to hear that, once again, the British musician has a new freshly pressed record. Photosynthesis Pt. 2, five tracks, is hitting stores, care of 030303.
After covering several hundred releases in 2022, many notables—including links to their respective Igloo reviews or release pages—are cataloged here. As usual, there are no winners or runners-up as the lists are alphabetized by artist and selected tracks are featured on our Soundcloud playlist.
