Taken as a whole, Full Spectrum 3 reinforces a broader point about contemporary electronic music. It isn’t stagnant, nor is it repeating itself. What it offers instead is a constantly expanding field of practice—one that often exists outside obvious distribution channels, away from mainstream radio, commercial television, or algorithm-led discovery feeds.
Northern mysterion Craven Faults maps post-industrial Yorkshire through shadowy analog synths and hypnotic rhythms, with Sidings turning regional history, industrial decay, and seminal music influences into a mesmeric, hour-long sonic archaeology.
Otherworldly yet strangely familiar, sometimes sounding oddly more organic than electronic, at once beauteous and mysterious, huge and delicate.
FLC pushes the sonic envelope into more atomically intense innerscaping; couched as it is in sprawling tracts from brooding pulse (“Still Canyon”) to queasy drones (“Hypogeum”), chthonic atmo (“Thawing Ice Temples”) to percolating celestial (“Rain Clouds Descending”)…
