Highlighting hundreds of releases in 2024 (and allowing December to set in), we’ve compiled a list of our favorites along with links to their corresponding Igloo reviews and release pages. Since the lists are arranged alphabetically by artist—and a snapshot of tracks are featured in our Soundcloud playlist along with selected Bandcamp tracks and random artwork selections—there are, as usual, no winners or runners-up.
Where there is no doubt is that Reflections was decades ahead of its time. This re-issue breathes new life into the tracks, reviving them to bring them back to their full glory, a glory that, thirty years later, continues to be absorbing, engaging and pioneering.
DeGiorgio and Prendergast deliver ambient techno with an unmistakable modern angle and style. AsOne² cannot be rushed, it is an album that demands the listener to slow down, stop and ponder.
