Velum Break sets the stage for an expressive and ghostly sonic mishmash that is positively on point and pushes the braindance genre just a little further.

The breaks manipulator and rhythm organizer unleashes a jam packed assortment

Velum Break hits the ground running on Cloaca for the ever-dependable Analogical Force. Five tracks spread over 20 odd minutes, the breaks manipulator and rhythm organizer unleashes a jam packed assortment—Bench Manoeuvres for Touched Music is still a highlight and was listed in our 2019 Top releases. An avalanche of drill’n bass a broken rhythms skitter past on “Upsuck” as the title track wields creative velum juice—classic braindance waves teeter-totter on rugged acid bass jabs primed to take over wooden dance floors, warn-in headphones, and bass bins alike. Velum Break’s blissful tunes have always sounded nostalgic, fresh and captivating. “Zone Hands” takes that signature style to the next level with detuned melodies and lively breaks as the bubbly and bouncy “Darling Take Hold Of Me” glides through effervescent acid-ambient tropes. Closing with the contemplative “Utopia Cape (Stretch),” a downtempo infusion evolves through harmonic moments and scribbling beat patches leaving the listener itching for just a little more. Overall, Velum Break sets the stage for an expressive and ghostly sonic mishmash that is positively on point and pushes the braindance genre just a little further.
