TOKEE :: Путешествие Remixes (Mahorka)

With Путешествие Remixes, the evolution of ЛЕЯ continues—fifteen artists reinterpret the original’s emotional and textural depth through their own sonic prisms. The result is a unified yet kaleidoscopic reimagining, where each remix expands the source material into new dimensions of rhythm, mood, and atmosphere.

The original ЛЕЯ, released on Mahorka in November 2024, marked a significant second chapter for TOKEE following Stages—a record that quietly bridged raw emotion with restrained electronic nuance. Now, Путешествие Remixes extends that narrative—see the first set of remixes featured on Альбатрос Remixes—not as a continuation, but as a reimagined constellation of interpretations. Fifteen distinct voices converge here, each drawing from the same core but arriving at entirely different destinations.

This is no mere collection of remixes—it’s a cohesive audio collage, a collective reshaping that breathes fresh life into an already profound body of work. Rather than treating the source material as fixed points to be embellished, the contributors engage it like a living entity, responding to its moods, shadows, and undercurrents with striking individuality.

From the industrial glitch impressions of Genda, Suokas, Weldroid, and Xotox, to the tangled neural rhythms of Captive Portal and Room Of Wires; from Static Logic and NYORAI’s jagged sonic abstractions to the textural noise atmospheres sculpted by Takamu (aka Tim Koch, Tawdry Otter, and Jet Jaguar)—each piece finds its own wavelength. Seldome delivers introspective downtempo excursions, while Orghanon floats in expansive ambient space. Dissolved and Brainquake bring intricate IDM recalibrations, adding further dimensionality.

What emerges is not a reinterpretation so much as an alternate portrait—one that mirrors the original’s emotive underbelly while simultaneously stepping out into its own light. Together, these artists form a resonant, multifaceted whole, a sonic journey stitched with shared intent yet rich in divergent paths.
