Theory (aka Russian native Antuan Graftio), elicits a turbulent, muddy and distopian musical trove within each piece.
Theory delivers for Mindtrick, what Tangent did for the imprint a few years ago on 1mk2. The difference, however, is that Theory manages to unleash a more robust industrial influence, whereas Tangent was described as being “inspired by the birth of our universe with all its violence and beauty, chaos and calm, collisions and expansion.” On the Red Book mini-album, Theory (aka Russian native Antuan Graftio), elicits a turbulent, muddy and distopian musical trove within each piece. The ambient grit and electrical noises all seem to coalesce as a whole, leaving the listener in bewilderment rather than feeling bludgeoned by the seemingly harsh beats and elongated distortion. In all, Red Book is a piercing foray into dense industrial layers and stands as a benchmark for the Rotterdam, Holland-based label.
Red Book is available on Mindtrick.
