Belgian label Nightflight Records makes another high quality entry with a new EP from the ultra talented DJ and Producer, Spin Fidelity (Barcelona, UK). Aptly titled Particle Shower, this latest EP rains with electro/techno and acid flavor. From the beginning with A1 “Photon Stream” the listen is saturated with viscous 909 programming, and a lysergic coated bassline. All the while, photons from the synth machines stream melodic sequences of trance-like arpeggios and windy pads that will leave a dreamy smile—if you are looking for colorful energies, “Photon Streams” has the right audio genetics.
Next on the A side, cosmic showers continue with the melody of “Ancient Love.” Punchy 727 kick-drums and glassy hats drive the funky rhythm and bassline across acidic lands and romantic strings to further heighten things. There is a lot of fun and funk to be had in this track.
Side B delivers raw electro for the late night hours. B1 “There Must Be A Way” is full of warm and permeating synth play and choice funk. All of this is interlaced with 808 electro-bass and cool low congas for the percussion. Choice acid is seemingly customized for deep loving DJ’s to play, but at the same time it holds a cool mellow temperature for chilled listening. B2 finalizes this colorful and acidic EP mission with “Magnonic Transmissions”—perhaps a shout out to Magnonic Signals, mystic blue late night vibes are transmitted to the listener. A lot of the good time can be attributed to the juicy 303 bassline going relentless as it’s intertwined with windy string melodies that exude nocturnal to flamboyant essence. The sound texture is very futuristic, with its rubbery snares and clean open air—indeed everything can breathe and be heard well.

Side A gives the listener more of a 4/4 bouncy and cosmic acid techno flavor, while the B Side is very powerful in the smooth space cruising electro it provides. Highly recommended for quality electronic lovers and right on time for the sunny side of year and those warm late nights.
