Raising funds for Ukraine during the current war via Unicef, and “originally created as an electronic sound world evoking the many dimensions, emotions and sounds of conflict,” the result is just as expected. Blistered, crumpled and abrasive electronic transmissions expand and contract within these seven pieces where broken, acidic, and braindance reflections shuffle about. Pummeling beats, bass, and distortion surrounds the listener as Night Raidz’ state of disrepair blends flickering bleeps and found-sounds into a baffling smorgasbord. While difficult to consume without considering its theme and goal, Night Raidz presents erratically dense electronic warfare from the mind of a sonic creative.
