Mtch :: Pleth (Self Released)

Pleth sees a plethora of perplexing tracks expanding and contracting as Mtch (aka Mitch Cramer) dissolves hundreds of glitch morsels and recombines them into alien transmissions.

A baffling electrical smorgasbord

Pleth sees a plethora of perplexing tracks expanding and contracting as Mtch (aka Mitch Cramer) dissolves hundreds of glitch morsels and recombines them into alien transmissions. The title track presents further abstraction, concentrated sound slivers, and structures that crumble. Distant stars explode like supernovae, “Pron Dit” feels like an extract from the title tracks’ stellar core, drifting into the vastness of space. Static squelching noises and fibrous electronics surround “Ob Qwel,” as “Hyer Comm” communicates its blips and bleeps via non-linear shuffling. Eight disparate pieces that feel like hundreds of smaller elements migrating into one solid mass and creating a new star where another has passed. A baffling electrical smorgasbord of Mtch glitch galore.

Pleth is available on Bandcamp.
