Displaying a visceral, vibrant, and vanishing soundtrack

A long-time contributor to the dark ambient community with tinges of cinematic soundscapes and industrial shards, LPF12 (aka Sascha Lemon) continues to extrapolate beats and far off spaces with Appear. The album is comprised of bustling sonic vistas (“Setup New Version”), ethereal soundtracks to lost worlds (“Bury The Atom”) to wandering atmospheric drifting drones (“Init”), and encapsulates serene landscapes from distant planets (“Me through the looking glass”). As the album progresses, there are transportive moments as evidenced on epic tracks like “Simple Things” where time has no relevance and its microscopic droning threads ebb and flow. The closing title track, and its eclipsing sonic shadows and eerie glitches, are at once translucent and as dense as a rolling fog—ultimately capturing the albums’ magnetizing appeal and displaying LPF12’s visceral, vibrant, and vanishing soundtrack appeal.

Appear is available on Bandcamp.
