A blisteringly surreal traverse through the fabric of braindance and all of its unique permutations.
An eight track beast is unleashed
Global Goon (Rephlex) and Ossa (Schematic) join forces with Waxing Crescent to unleash an eight track beast known as the aptly titled Bruit Électrique—translated to “Electrical Noise.” And what a force these two reveal with sandblasted technoid flourishes, multidimensional sound-scapes, and glitched-out melodic bursts capturing old and new-school IDM terrain.
Throughout each piece, syncopated and displaced beatwork is surrounded by a myriad of energized acid swirls and braindance funk. Not surprisingly, the two electrical noise-sculptors also uncover the pulse of 90s-era fractured techno and electro forms, taking us through a smattering of parallel genres that are reshaped to their own liking and simply having fun with it.
A blisteringly surreal traverse through the fabric of braindance and all of its unique permutations. Highlights include “Goobered,” “Dinky Doo,” “Granked In Space,” “Geezer Punk,” and “Gronky” (also remixed by Nick Forté).
