Overall, there’s giant-sized entertainment to be had in the Sense Combiner and it’s essential if you’re looking for electro that isn’t here to take any prisoners.

Some seriously mad scientific electro heat

Cultivated Electronics keeps the consistency and quality strong this time around with Client_03, an elusive and refreshing artist out of the UK who continues to do nothing less than impress. Not much is revealed as about Client_03 which adds even more to the mysterious Sci-Fi movie vibe of the atmosphere aesthetic one can hear on this EP. At heart it is surely in line with the fine caliber of Cultivated Electronics style electro, and those older Satamile NYC releases. All 4 tracks are dark and get to the point bravely for those who want a no filler, hard hitter when they play electro.

The aptly titled “Sense Combiner” opens up the experience with patient and ghostly pads before transforming into a machine jam tale of funky staggering basslines, crisp 808 snares, and healthy bits of speak-and-spell. Sharply, the percussion in the rhythm just glues everything together even tighter. Theres not much to say, other than you’ll be very happy all day—if you’re into banging electro and select this track to play.

“Morality Corruption Splice Pointer “continues the lovely dark energy with this surefire body mover of  gritty intensity. We could talk about the drum rhythm alone, especially with its kicks and dense snare hits that make this one a fun time on the dime. The buildup of this track is well done, eventually peaking with textured nocturnal natured arps and leads, and a bassline that is sure to please if you like your funk cold and fine. This is an impressive follow up track to the opening title-track that selectors or deep listeners at home will not sleep on. It’s a moderate track length as well, but the complexity and fun makes it fly by; and before you know it the mission is complete, so in other words it’s easy to put this fine number on repeat.

Many electro fans will love this one ::

If you loved what the side A delivered, you’ll love the rest that is in store, as you flip over to side B—beginning with a collaboration featuring CE label boss—Sync 24, titled “Counterfactual Interaction History.” With that title and collaboration, you can imagine this interaction will deliver; and it sure does. A fine example of purely saturated Sci-Fi, the dark electro carries a more patient tempo yet just right for the charming listen at home or a club night. Further compelling is the addictive ear candy traversed through the mean acid basslines as it’s hard not to feel the giant funk they pack. All winner, no fillers in this thriller, as Client_03 and Sync24 interact to destroy your dance-floor.

And time just keeps flying when the music is fun. As we reach the conclusion of this thorough extended player with the classy and icy cold electro-funk of “You Have Been Notified”—which is certainly the case by the time you reach this track in the listening experience. Again, going to a more moderate tempo, the energy stays just as high and engaging with a bassline that just has that classic mood and melody that reminds one of robots funking out in an assembly line. The atmosphere and effects make this easy and addictive as well as totally proper for the finale. One of several ear highlights, is the layering and effects on the drum patterns, and how the rhythm builds smoothly while dark stalking chords narrate the story of this cool composition.

Overall, there’s giant-sized entertainment to be had in the Sense Combiner and it’s essential if you’re looking for electro that isn’t here to take any prisoners. Likewise, Client_03 is really one to check out; this artist isn’t playing games, and makes some seriously mad scientific electro heat. Those who know as well as those who are new should really enjoy this EP that comes highly approved and recommended.
