Monster movie Kaiju IDM

Resonance is an electro fueled album from the grandmaster grandaddy OG of electronic music cEvin kEy (Skinny Puppy, Doubting Thomas, etc.)—it may be an entirely new genre of its own called monster movie Kaiju IDM. The album spans moods and styles in an easy, comfortable manner befitting a genius like Key at the helm. The opener “Thirteen” bounds out of the gate with bopping synths and pumping drums. “Night Flower” and “Watching You” features Edward Ka-Spel on vocals in two sweet tracks reminiscent of Key’s work in The Tear Garden with the late Dwayne Goettel. “Third Eye” comes infused with the Boss of the Bermuda Triangle himself Otto Von Schirach. IAMX provides a soulful touch with vocals on tracks such as “Anger Is An Acid” and “Dark Trail.” Fans of Skinny Puppy will find familiar tones and traits within while electro heads, classic, and modern industrialists will also enjoy the sound and feel of Resonance.
