An enveloping and engaging cinematic experience
Brighten the Corner is an adventurous electronic space music project headed by sound designer Chris George. In this new release Derrick Stembridge (alias Drifting In Silence / Labile Records) joins forces for a vibrant, enveloping and engaging cinematic experience with incursions in the world of paranormal and sci-fi for the conceptual background. Igloo readers are already familiar with Drifting In Silence whose production has been reviewed at several occasions. Globally, All of My Faults Laid Bare demonstrates a strong use of meandering synthesized textures with looped sequences, softly moving in deep space. All tracks are written to invite the listener to enter in a deep sea of tranquility—oceanic feelings are brought up to the fore. The sonic sound tapestry evokes notions and feelings of space travel and access to cosmic gates where the mind is freely flowing. Abstract, sentient, soothing and contemplative are words which illustrate the essence of this musical exploration. To serve their purpose, the two musicians use a wide range of synthetic devices and techniques. Accessible scenic spacey electronic reveries that will convince listeners of Numina, Stephen Philips, Robert Rich, and Planet Supreme.
