For quite some time now, the echospace [detroit] label has been releasing newly remastered digital versions of archival material through various outlets and stores, but the label’s own online presence solely consisted of a placeholder website and a Facebook page. Followers of the label have been hoping for echospace [detroit] to go fully digital online for some time. That time has finally arrived.
At 12:00 AM on Monday 16th September, echospace [detroit] launched their official new Bandcamp site. The launch coincides with the imminent release of a slew of new albums on CD and LP together with new vinyl editions of prior releases previously unavailable on the format.
Among the releases both old and new that have been added to the site so far there are a few surprises including the pre-order of a new 2xCD edition of the originally 4xLP only Altering Illusions compilation album, which is set to include a second disc of previously unavailable material, and a new full length live recording from cv313 entitled Live @ Primary that includes an exclusive download of three tracks that will not appear on the CD edition itself.
With more releases to follow, including digital and CD editions of the recently remastered Deepchord archival series and the new albums from Brock van Wey and cv313, these are exciting times for echospace [detroit] and dub techno lovers alike.
