Presenting most of the active, many iconic Bulgarian electronic producers with tracks exclusively produced/selected for this mesmerizing sonic experience.
More omnipresent than ever
(Press Release) More than four years ago, in 2016, Mahorka released the Eastern Depths Vol.3 compilation, which took us on a dark and trippy electronica adventure through a good part of the deepest depths of the Bulgarian underground electronic music scene. Now, they are happy to confirm the rumours and officially announce that the time to unleash Eastern Depths IV onto the world and that this new edition is more omnipresent than ever—presenting most of the active, many iconic Bulgarian electronic producers with tracks exclusively produced/selected for this mesmerizing sonic experience.
Artists involved are Sub, Mr.Smiff, Roboknob, Markov, U-stock, Hypnos, Scav, Autonomaton, Niandraz & XI-N, Second Body, Cyberian, Dayin, Ivan Shopov, Protuberance, Recidivist, Virtually J, E23N42SF, MBA, MO., Trohi, Kliment, Erased Memories, Mloski, Kanz, Polygon Ring, The Science, Shamanez, Goro, B.H.E., Warm Aquarelle, and Esem.
Emilian Gatsov a.k.a Second Body (“Nite Flux” video premiere below) started composing soundtracks for theatre, dance and film in 2003. Soundtrack composition allows for endless experiments not only with forms but with whole music genres, testing the output in front of an unbiased audience. He thinks every piece of music is a soundtrack, anyway. During the years, Emilian Gatsov has made music ranging from aleatoric chaos to transparent womb music for classical theatre, contemporary dance, feature and documents mentaries, as well as radio ballets for the German media collective Ligna.
On Mahorka he appeared first on the Music For Elevators Vol.1 label-defining compilation back in 2005 and in 2008 the netlabel released his solo album “2AM City Lights.” 2020 should see the release of his follow-up album for the label, this time also as cassette release. Meanwhile he has made notable compilation appearances in the follow-up volumes of Music for Elevators through the years. For the epic new Eastern Depths edition he is on board with an abstract yet so catchy and dancy electronica track that could easily be one “hit single” from the compilation album.
Eastern Depths IV is available on Mahorka.
