Especially for the cold gray days of winter, Simon Heath (Krusseldorf, Atrium Carceri) exclusively treats Igloo Magazine with a mix of slow, undulating, noir-scented dark ambient electronica. Glitchy at times, mysterious, emotionally charged and hypnotic throughout.
As we move into 2015, it is clear to me that my voyage that took me years ago from the Swedish cold to California’s heat affected me in ways I could not have fathomed. My dreams are constantly filled with imagery of the frozen landscapes of Scandinavia, my music now a hymn to my former gray and dark days. After creeping up the West coast, I now feel the snow about to fall and I am at peace. This mix is a deeply personal one, including previously unreleased material from upcoming albums of all my projects (Krusseldorf, Atrium Carceri, Sabled Sun) as well as tracks from other artists I have huge respect for. I hope you enjoy this mix of genres and styles. – Simon Heath, Oregon, USA.
