A synthesis of crystalline electronic ambiences, spontaneous tonal atmospheres which appear to be mysteriously touching and emotional.
[Release page] Øystein Jørgensen is an electronic sound researcher and a musician who have stylistically explored most compositional schemas of ambient music. He is particularly sensitive to the sonic density of sounds. This new opus is signed on his own label Petroglyph Music (formed with the micro-ambient sound designer Rune Martinsen) which encourages the promotion of new creative artists in a multi-directional ambient music spectrum. This last release offers a synthesis of crystalline electronic ambiences, spontaneous tonal atmospheres which appear to be mysteriously touching and emotional. On a conceptual level, the music could be associated to figurative and imaginary forms of metaphysics. The harmonious sound patterns are sometimes articulated to suggestively hypnotic rhythmical sequences. An other beautiful contribution to textured based ambient sound aesthetism. This floating electronic sound odyssey can be greatly appreciated by fans of Alio Die and Vidna Obmana.
Winter is available on Petroglyph Music. [Release page | Bandcamp]
