    Escaping Dust
381 image 1 is the genre-splintering debut album by Zainetica and the first release on the new Rednetic Recordings label. This is an edgy and enveloping collection to watch ceefax pages to. All the tracks are at once vaguely familiar and yet mildly unsettling. Like the effects of eating a delicious meal only to have the nagging suspicion that you are suffering from a violent reaction to an unknown ingredient. The album has many textures; from the nervous, fractured breaks of coded response to the bright, electro-tinged dripfeeder. Tracks such as “Inhuman Resources” couple wistful melodies with abstract sound fragments. Elsewhere you will encounter submarine dub, dirty breakbeats and squelchy, agitated electronica.

Zainetica :: “safety net” in Japanese

Zainetica grew up without a television or car in the suburban banality that stifles London. Music filled the many empty spaces that were left vacant by these icons of capitalism. He now resides in London creating sounds in the shadow of towerblocks. Zainetica is a prolific artist who draws upon many influences to build his own unique soundscapes. He cites LFO, Timbaland, Sizzla, Richie Hawtin, Brian Wilson and Sly & Robbie as major influences on this album.
